V Forum of Pediatric Surgeons of Russia with international participation and I Russian-Chinese Congress of Pediatric Surgeons
From 3 to 5 September, "Toratau" Congress hall hosts the V Forum of Pediatric Surgeons of Russia with international participation and the I Russian-Chinese Congress of Pediatric Surgeons. It should be marked, that it is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Healthcare of Bashkortostan, the 55th anniversary of the Pediatric Surgical Service organization in Bashkortostan and the 50th anniversary of the Pediatric Surgery Department of BSMU. The forum is attended by more than 400 delegates from different regions of Russia, CIS countries, Germany, USA and China.
The forum is organized by the Ministry of Healthcare, Ministry of Healthcare of Republic of Bashkortostan, Bashkir State Medical University, and Russian Association of Pediatric Surgeons. The forum is supported by Russian universities.
The forum is attended by Alexander Razumovskiy, President of the Russian Pediatric Surgeons Association, Dmitriy Morozov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Healthcare, Maxim Zabelin, acting Minister of Healthcare of Bashkortostan, Vladimir Rozinov, Director of Pediatric Surgery Institute at N.I. Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, Svetlana Karavaeva, head of the Pediatric Surgery department at I.I. Mechnikov North-Western State Medical University, Tatiana Nemilova, chief pediatric surgeon of St. Petersburg, honorary Professor of BSMU Lucas Wessel, Director of the Pediatric Surgery Clinic of Mannheim Medical faculty of Heidelberg University (Germany), Professor Horst Hoffman, Director of the Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic of Mannheim Medical faculty of Heidelberg University, Professor Karl Schaeffer, Vice President for Research of Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences, Professor Shukhrat Yusupov, Vice-rector for Research and Innovation at Samarkand State Medical University, etc. Guests from Federal centers and foreign countries visit the leading medical institutions: BSMU Clinic, Republican Children's Clinical Hospital, Republican Clinical Perinatal Center, and a number of clinics.
"We are waiting for autumn to exchange achievements and experience. The palette is wide, as representatives of all departments from the former Soviet republics come here - said Dmitriy Morozov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Healthcare. - Bashkortostan and Republican pediatric surgery are always among the innovators. Not for the sake of a red word, thoracoscopic surgery appeared here before anywhere else. Bashkir doctors not only in Russia, but also in the world, conducted the first thoracoscopic surgery for children."
Valentin Pavlov, rector of BSMU, corresponding member of RAS, and Professor Aitbai Gumerov, head of the Pediatric Surgery department with the course of IAPE in BSMU, made the welcoming speech to the conference participants.
The conference addresses the most urgent problems of modern pediatric surgery: thoracic, neonatal surgery, oncology, rehabilitation, and Spa treatment. More than 170 reports, 16 symposia, a series of study cases and training seminars are presented at the forum during three days.
The forum includes the meeting of chief pediatric surgeons of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation.
The event ends on September 5, where in addition to scientific, practical and theoretical conclusions will be the winners of the competition of young scientists.
