The master class of the leading thoracic surgeons is held at BSMU Clinic

14 December, 2017 the scientific-practical conference "Modern Technologies in Surgery of the Lungs and Thorax" with the participation of Gilbert Massard, professor of Strasbourg University, member of RAS, and Yablonskiy P. K., Director of Saint-Petersburg Research Institute of Phthisiopulmonology, chief thoracic surgeon of the Ministry of Healthcare, will be held at BSMU Clinic.

At the conference well-known surgeons will tell about innovations in surgical treatment of lung and thorax, will conduct master classes for senior students, residents, and physicians of the Republic.

Online broadcast of workshops will be held in the lecture hall of BSMU Clinic.

Professor Peter Jablonski will conduct a master-class "Single-Port Lobectomy in Thoracic Surgery". Thanks to the new equipment sick lung will be removed with a single incision.

French Professor Massard will demonstrate the reconstructive method of treatment of congenital funnel-shaped deformation of the chest, which compresses the heart and lungs of the patient.

In 2006 the international group of specialists from Russia and France (A. G. Chuchalin, academic of RAS, prof P. K. Yablonski and Professor J. Massard) performed the first successful lung transplantation.
