Election of the Chair of the Students’ Council

According to the Board Regulations of the Students’ Council enrolled on 22 October 2013, five candidates, one from each faculty, participated in the elections.

The General Medicine faculty was presented by a fourth-year student Violetta Maltseva, Pediatrics faculty by a second-year student Violetta Gaysina, Pharmacy faculty by a fourth-year student Khuzin Dinislam, Dental faculty by a second-year student Anna Varagyan, Medical-Preventive faculty by a fifth-year student Akmalbek Otabekov.

- Students’ government is one of the most important mechanisms in the functioning of the University. This is the relationship between students and guidance and the opportunity to address any acute problems and situations in the students’ environment effectively - spoke the rector of Bashkir State Medical University, corresponding member RAS, Valentin Pavlov at the opening of the election conference.

During the election conference, Alexander Chuba, an Internship student of the Oncology Department, who led the Students’ Council in 2017, spoke about the work of the Council for the period of 2016-2017 years:

- The Students’ Council took an active part in organizing various activities of the University: academic, cultural and social. We found many new leaders and activists among the students who were engaged in different events of the University. Under the leadership of the Council, such students’ movements as MedliveTV, tutor movement, the Literary club, and others were organized and continued to operate.

Valentin Pavlov awarded Alexander Chuba with the letter of thanks for successful and fruitful work.

Three hundred and fifteen students of the University who had registered and received the electoral mandate attended the election. During the election conference the majority of votes chose the presidency, the secretariat, the Chairman of the meeting, the credentials and counting commission.

Based on the open voting the majority of participants voted for Violetta Maltseva.
