Department of of Faculty Therapy

The Department of Faculty Therapy was founded in 1935.

Currently, the Department employs 5 professors, 6 associate professors and 5 assistants. 14 employees have scientific degrees.

Educational activities of the Department cover the issues of internal medicine. Education is carried out according to the programs of the Federal state educational standard of higher education in the Russian Federation. The Department of Faculty Therapy trains 3^rd and 4^th year students of  Faculties of General Medicine and Pediatrics.

The main trends of scientific activity of the Department:

• diagnosis and treatment of chronic kidney disease in patients with diseases of internal organs

• health status of patients after hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome

• the state of hemostasis system in patients with various diseases of the internal organs

• issues of pathogenesis and diagnostics of pneumonia

• methods of immunocorrection in diseases of the lower respiratory tract.

Employees of the Department participate in international, federal and republican conferences.

All practical classes and lectures are delivered in full-time form.

Clinical base of the Department of Faculty Therapy is City clinical hospital №5 in Ufa.

Practical classes are held on the 3rd floor of the medical building of City clinical hospital №5. Lectures are delivered at Lenin street, 3: for students of the pediatric faculty - in the lecture hall of BSMU, for students of the medical faculty - in room 28.

The Department provides an electronic educational environment with remote access for students. All lectures are presented in the form of multimedia presentations.

In addition to the basic educational process the Department organizes scientific and educational conferences on internal medicine.

The Department has a Students’ Scientific Society.
