Volunteer Crew held the social and preventive action “I love my kidneys” devoted to the International Kidney Day

Every second Thursday of March the International Kidney Day is celebrated. In 2018, this day fell on March 8, so medical volunteers paid special attention to informing the beautiful half of humanity about kidney diseases during pregnancy.

BSMU Volunteer Crew and the Interregional public organization of nephrological patients "Nefro-Liga" have been carrying out a series of sanitary and preventive actions "I love my kidneys” for 3 years.

The action took place in the shopping center "Mega". Volunteers told about the structure and kidney disease, paid special attention to kidney disease during pregnancy. Also they organized the traditional rack “Drink a glass of water - congratulate the kidneys!" where everyone could become a participant. Visitors of the shopping center with interest took part in the event, asked questions, carried out small tasks for which received souvenir production of the action.
