The conference with the participation of the best specialists in Immunology and Infectology from Russia and abroad has started its work in Ufa

From 3 till 5 October Ufa hosts the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Fundamental and practical issues on immunology and infectology". The Conference has brought together the best experts in the field from Russia and abroad.

The main organizer of the Conference is the Bashkir State Medical University. The co-organizers of the Conference are the National School of Infectious Diseases, the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy and Bukhara State Medical Institute, which signed the agreement on cooperation with our University. The Conference and publication of materials is carried out with the financial support of the state organization "Russian Foundation for Basic Research", project № 18-015-20032.

Valentin N. Pavlov, rector of the Bashkir State Medical University, corresponding member of RAS, opened the Conference:

- In the modern world, the study of infectious diseases is impossible without close integration with specialists from different countries. Thanks to the international cooperation of BSMU with Universities of China, Germany and neighboring countries, there is an active exchange of scientific knowledge, contributing to the development of new methods of diagnosis and treatment of various diseases, including infectious ones, in the Republic, - said in his speech Valentin N. Pavlov.

Alexander Gorelov, corresponding member of RAS, head of the Infectious Pathology clinical department at the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor (Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing), Moscow, made the welcoming speech and wished the participants to spend the days of the Conference productively.

Venera Mustafina, chief specialist and expert of the department of medical care for adults organization at the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Bashkortostan, noted that the Conference was of particular relevance in the country at the present time as it was the vaccination season.

Geography of the Conference participants is as follows: doctors, scientists, specialists of related areas from the United States, United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, graduate students, residents and students of BSMU.

During the conference, the scientific reports on topical issues of infectious diseases of adults and children, epilemiological picture of various infectious diseases in Russia, the development of modern methods of treatment and diagnosis were demonstrated. The National School of Infectious Diseases is held within the framework of the conference.

The Conference has become the platform for discussion on fundamental and practical issues of immunology, infectious diseases and exchange of experience with colleagues from other universities and research organizations in Russia and abroad. As a result of the Conference, plans for joint research and organization of inter-University research groups will be formed and a collection of articles will be published with the support of a grant from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research.

The conference will continue its work on 4 and 5 October at the University.
