INTERENATIONAL STUDENTS CELEBRATING NEW YEAR IN RUSSIA WERE INTERVIEWED BY TV CHANNEL "BASHKORTOSTAN"

During the New Year holidays the dean's office on work with foreign students organized for foreign students a visit to the Russian Christmas. Students from India, Colombia and Africa, came to Bashkir just a month ago, and for a long time could not get used to our harsh climate. But on the New Year’s eve we had gathered courage and decided to celebrate the holiday the Russian way.

Teachers and students visited the ice town and the Christmas tree at the square "Vatan", next to the Congress Hall. The students got to know from their teachers that, in the Congress Hall, the official events of the summits SCO and BRICS were held .But at the square "Vatan" became equally significant on this day, when they were told about the Russian traditions of New Year’s celebrations.

With great pleasure foreign students played on ice slides, the majority of them got a chance to do this for the first time. The students circled and danced around the Christmas tree, sang the song, which has become an international song of Christmas "Jingle Bells", and some of them, surprisingly, even knew our traditional Christmas song “В лесу родилась елочка”, the title of which is translated as "a Christmas tree born in the forest." Right there around the tree, the students from Columbia treated everybody with  their national salad and Indians with a spicy dish made with chicken «Chicken masala».

By a fluke, a group was formed by our foreign students celebrating New Year and all those who witnessed this celebration, that is, the team of TV channel "Bashkortostan". Our students were exceptionally joyful, because of which they attracted the attention of not only local residents, but also journalists.
