The national team of BSMU became the winner of the VII All-Russian kickboxing tournament among students of medical schools of Russi

This year, the traditional tournament is being held for the seventh time. More than 100 athletes from teams of medical and pharmaceutical universities from 7 regions of Russia took part in the competition: Saint Petersburg, Ryazan, Omsk, Saratov, Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don and the Republic of Bashkortostan.

The opening ceremony was held on March 13 at the USK BSMU No. 10. The event was attended by: Vice-rector for Academic Affairs of BSMU Damir Valishin, Vice-rector for Educational and Social Work of BSMU Artur Mustafin, GTO Ambassador to the Russian Federation, 45-time World Champion in kickboxing and martial arts Vil Gabdullin, head of the Kickboxing Federation of the Republic of Belarus Konstantin Shestakov, Head of the Department of Physical Culture of BSMU Ruslan Gainullin and other honored guests.

– Dear guests, participants of the competition! Let me greet you on behalf of the university administration. We express our great gratitude for finding the opportunity to come. This year's tournament is being held for the seventh time and has become traditional. |The geography of the tournament has expanded, the number of participants has increased. There are teams that come every time, and some participate for the first time. I wish you all good luck! May the strongest man win! – Damir Askhatovich noted in his welcoming address.

More than 20 students of Bashkir State Medical University defended the honor of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Under the guidance of coach, teacher of the Department of Physical Culture of BSMU Yuri Arkhireev, they became winners and prize-winners of the competition. Also, the winners and prize-winners of the competition were students engaged in the boxing section under the guidance of senior lecturer of the Department of Physical Culture of BSMU Jakhongir Khusanov. Congratulations to the athletes and coaches on their victory!

As part of the tournament, a match meeting was organized, in which Elena Koroleva (ASMU) and Ekaterina Sinyavskaya (St. Petersburg State Medical University named after Academician I. P. Pavlov) competed for the victory. In this match, the representative of the ASMU turned out to be stronger.

The tournament is unique in its specifics. All participants of the competition are future and current doctors. As you know, martial arts competitions are traditionally

held among military personnel, police officers, firefighters and rescuers. The All-Russian kickboxing tournament among doctors of this scale is not held anywhere else and is the only one not only in Russia, but also in the world.

The number of participants is growing every year, the geography is expanding and the level of preparedness of athletes is growing. This tournament is included in the standings of the Spartakiad of Medical and Pharmaceutical Universities of Russia, in the calendar of events of the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports of the Russian Federation.

With the participation of a certain number of athletes in each weight category, the winners fulfill the standard of a candidate for master of sports. This indicates that the attention to the tournament is growing from year to year. The competition will become more ambitious in the near future, in which teams of medical and pharmaceutical universities of the Russian Federation take part with great desire.
