Ufa will host the VIII Regional Scientific and Practical Seminar “FAST TRACK Surgery: optimal perioperative period from the viewpoint of evidence - based medicine”

On 8 June Interdisciplinary scientific surgical society "Fast Track" and the Bashkir State Medical University, with the support of the Russian society of surgeons and the Union of Rehabilitation specialists of Russia will carry out the VIII Regional Scientific and Practical Seminar “FAST TRACK Surgery: optimal perioperative period from the viewpoint of evidence - based medicine”.

Fast-track surgery is a multimodal strategy of surgical patients management aimed at optimization of all stages of perioperative patient management, which includes data on preparation for surgery, maintenance of electrolyte balance, adequate analgesia, as well as the definition of criteria for safe discharge of the patient from the hospital.

The first part of the seminar will include the master class "Minimally invasive surgery as the main component of FAST TRACK". The master class will contain the demonstration of laparoscopic surgery in the field of urology and gynecology. The master class will be broadcast online from BSMU Clinic and the Clinic "Mother and Child” operating halls. The following surgeons will perform the operations:

Eduard Gallyamov – Professor, chief surgeon of the Medical Center for Management of Moscow Mayor Affairs and Government, head of the General Surgery department of Sechenov University, Moscow

Mikhail Agapov - head of the Surgical department of Moscow State University Clinic, Moscow

Sinara Taychinova – candidate of Medical Sciences, obstetrician-gynecologist, Ufa

Ilya Strazhnikov – obstetrician-gynecologist, Ufa.

The second part of the seminar will contain lectures for surgeons, anesthesiologists, resuscitators. Experts will discuss the following issues: management of operating time, anesthetic aspects of fast track surgery, prevention of antibiotics and antimicrobial therapy in high-risk surgery, the concept of anesthesia in surgery. Ufa doctors will tell about their experience in multimodal rehabilitation of surgical patients.
