Bashkir State Medical University and Shahid Beheshti Medical University (Tehran, Iran) signed the agreement

On 7-9 February, Tehran hosted the First International Congress on Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. On BSMU side Guzel Ibragimova, the head of the Pharmacy Management and Economics Department with the Course of Medical and Pharmaceutical Commodity Science, was invited.

At the conference Guzel Ya. Ibragimova reported about the activities of the Pharmaceutical School at BSMU, and visited the Pharmaceutical Sciences Research Center of Shahid Beheshti Medical University where she was acquainted with the laboratory work.  Guzel Ya. Ibragimova visited Sinagen Pharmaceutical Factory, too.

The trip resulted in signing the official agreement between the Pharmaceutical Sciences Research Center of Shahid Beheshti Medical University and BSMU about cooperation, scientific exchange, and the possibilities of academic mobility of students and professors.

Concerning the University, Shahid Beheshti Medical University is a state institution of higher education, a large educational and research center in the field of medical sciences in Iran. The University is located in Tehran. The University includes 4 research institutes, 62 research centers and 12 faculties. It has got about 13 thousand students in undergraduate, specialist and master degrees. There are 1,300 professors and teachers in the faculties and research centers. This is a large educational and scientific complex for training, retraining, certification and advanced training for medical and pharmaceutical staff. Fundamental research and applied scientific research, the provision of highly qualified medical care to the population, the promotion of medical achievements and pharmacy are closely connected with the educational process.
