BSMU hosted the All-Russian Table Tennis and Volleyball Competitions among Russian medical and pharmaceutical universities "Physical culture and sport are the second profession of a doctor"

The past week in BSMU was very rich on sports events. Two competitions among Russian medical and pharmaceutical universities were held in our University. Now let’s speak about all of them in details.

On 11 and 12 March 2018, the Table Tennis Competition among Russian medical and pharmaceutical universities took place in BSMU building №10. Four teams attended took part in that competition: Bashkir State Medical University, Orenburg State Medical University, Kazan State Medical University and Saratov State Medical University. BSMU team took the third place. BSMU student, Laysan Rakhmatullina from the Faculty of General Medicine took the third place in the individual competition.

Here are the results of the Table Tennis Competition:

1st place - Orenburg State Medical University

2nd place - Kazan State Medical University

3rd place - Bashkir State Medical University

On 14 and 15 March BSMU building №10 and BSAU sports building hosted the Volga Federal district Volleyball Competitions as a part of the Sports Festival among medical and pharmaceutical universities of the Russian Federation. More than 100 athletes from eight regions of the country attended it. The opening ceremony was attended by Vice-rector for academic work, Alexander Ziglin, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at BSMU, Valery Kataev, Dean of the Faculty of General Medicin BSMU, Damir Valishin, head of the Physical Culture Department of BSMU, Ruslan Gainullin, and referee Stanislav Guskov, Chairman of BSMU sports club, Rail Abzalilov and others.

Honored guests wished the participants good luck. In turn, the participants of the competition thanked the management of the University for the good organization of the competition.

Kurai players and pupils of gymnastics performed for the participants and guests of the competition.

During the competition, BSMU men's team beat all rivals and won the ticket to the final, which will be held in Izhevsk.

BSMU women's team stopped a step away from the cherished goal. The girls in every game fought to the last point and showed will power, good technique. We would like to thank them for their dedication. We wish the team and its coach further success.

The closing ceremony was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at BSMU, Valery Kataev, head of the Physical Culture Department at BSMU, Ruslan Gainullin, head of the Physical Culture Department at BSAU, Ruslan Bikimbetov, Chairman of BSMU sports club, Rail Abzalilov, and others.

1st place - BSMU

2nd place - Perm State Medical University

3rd place - Samara State Medical University

Results of the competition among women's teams:

1st place - Perm FSMA

2nd place - Samara State Medical University

3rd place - BSMU

Winners were awarded with medals, diplomas and cups. The best players were honored in different nominations.
