BSMU delegation took part in the Second Russian-Chinese Conference on Urology

BSMU delegation represented by the rector, corresponding member of RAS, Valentin N. Pavlov, the chief physician of BSMU Clinic, Shamil E. Bulatov, and resident of the Urology Department with the Course of Additional Professional Education Institution, Serafima Maksimova, took part in the Second Russian-Chinese Conference on Urology.

The conference was held from 30 March till 1 April in Harbin, under the leadership of professors Young Baofeng and Yin Hao Sun. Young Baofeng is a co-Chairman of the Russian-Chinese Association of Medical Universities and the President of Harbin Medical University. Yin Hao Sun is the Chairman of the Chinese Urological Association and the rector of the Second Military Medical University. The theme of the conference was “Friendship and cooperation, inheritance and innovation”. The conference was aimed at strengthening the cooperation between urologists of China and Russia and assistance in research and educational activities at universities.

BSMU graduate students and residents, who are being trained in the clinics of China under the program of academic mobility, attended the opening of the conference. Serafima Maksimova reported the presentation at the conference. The conference participants visited laboratories and IV Hospital of Harbin Medical University, where they got acquainted with the work of the Department of Urology, Oncology, Neurosurgery.
