BSMU student Regina Bayburina won the bronze medal in the 5-km race at the all-Russian half-marathon “ZaBeg”

On 20 May 2018, thousands of people in 15 regions of Russia took part in the half-marathon "ZaBeg". Ufa was no exception. On this day, the square named after Salavat Yulaev gathered about 1500 citizens and guests of Ufa to overcome the distance of 21.1 km, 10 km, 5 km or 2 km. The route passed through the main streets of the city.

The 4-year student of the Faculty of Pediatrics, Regina Bayburina, took the third place in the 5-km race in her age group. The trainer is a senior lecturer of the Physical Culture department of BSMU, Ilnur Gumerov. We sincerely congratulate the athlete and coach!

During four years Regina Bayburina successfully has been defending the honor of Bashkir State Medical University in the Republican, all-Russian and international competitions. The 2017-2018 academic year was particularly successful for her. Regina became the winner of the Ufa international marathon, won prizes at the "Cross of the Nation-2017" relay at the Universiade of Bashkir universities in 2018. Besides Regina has become the triumphant in the women's team of BSMU at the relay race dedicated to the Victory Day for prizes of Ufa administration and the editorial office "Youth newspaper" in 2018.
