Olga Zaitseva, associate Professor of BSMU Pharmacology department №1, took part in the X International Forum in Beijing

From 11 till 13 May 2018, Beijing (China) hosted the X International Forum of Pharmacists "Forbidden city 2018" (Forbidden City International Pharmacist Forum, 2018 FCPF).

Olga Zaitseva, associate Professor of the Clinical Pharmacology course at the Pharmacology department №1, represented our University. In the forum she presented a report. The forum 2018 FCPF was attended by more than two thousand experts and 235 participants from 19 countries: China (including Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau), Australia, Brazil, Britain, Germany, Denmark, India, Canada, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mongolia, the Netherlands, Singapore, Thailand, France, Sweden, USA, Japan. Associate Professor Olga Zaitseva had the honor to represent not only our University, but also to be the only representative of Russia at this forum.

Since 2009, FCPF has been playing the role of an international platform, helping millions of pharmacists to interact not only with Chinese colleagues-professionals, but also with medical and pharmaceutical experts from all over the world. The China Health Promotion Foundation, the Institute of Science and Technology Innovation, the American Healthcare System Pharmacists Society, the Japanese Hospital Pharmacists Society, the Chinese-Japanese Medical Sciences and Technology Association, the journal “Drug Evaluation”, etc. initiated the 2018 FCPF forum. The theme of the 2018 FCPF forum was devoted to the problem of drug safety for patients, as the World Health Organization reported in 20 September 2017 that due to the irrational use of drugs, human existence is under serious threat. According to the 2018 FCPF, pharmacists and clinical pharmacologists should fully play their role in monitoring drug therapy, ensuring the safety of drugs for patients and improving their rational use.
