BSMU students took an active part in the VII International Summer Aerospace School named after U. N. Sultanov, the cosmonaut of the USSR. The School is held since 2011 in the village of Kalinovka in Davlekanovsky district of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The idea to organize the school belongs to Vladimir Kovalenok, the twice hero of the Soviet Union pilot-cosmonaut, and the implementation would not have been possible without the participation of Vyacheslav Abramenko, the Deputy of the State Assembly of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

To participate in the work of the Summer Aerospace School, the University formed 2 arrivals, consisting of non-resident students (including foreign citizens) who remained in the city of Ufa for the holidays. Planning the participation of BSMU students in the VII International Summer Aerospace School named after U. N. Sultanov, the cosmonaut of the USSR, Professor V. N. Pavlov, rector of BSMU, set the task not only to organize the summer leisure for students, but also to cooperate with the partner University – USATU, promoting the achievements of Russian space among young people. The School can play a great role in the adaptation of foreign students to the living conditions in the Russian Federation and in creating a favorable image of Russian science and industry among foreigners.
