BSMU delegation took part in the 8th Russian-Chinese Congress on Cardiology in Cold Climates

The delegation of BSMU consisting of Naufal Zagidullin, Professor of the Internal Diseases Propedeutics department, Gilyazova Irina, assistant of the Pathological Physiology department and Timashemova Yanina, assistant of the Medical Genetics and Fundamental Medicine department, took part in the 8th Russian-Chinese Congress on Cardiology in Cold Climates and the 4-th Russian-Chinese Conference of young cardiologists, which took place from 13 till 15 July 2018 in Harbin, China. Cardiologists and scientists of BSMU for the fourth time participate in this prestigious conference, which is held within the framework of the Russian-Chinese Association of Medical Universities. It was attended by more than 2000 delegates not only from China and Russia, but also from Canada, the United States and other countries. The conference was chaired by Professor Tian Ye, Director of the Cardiology department of the First affiliated clinic of Harbin Medical University (HMU), who also co-chaired the First Russian-Chinese Congress on the Treatment of Cardiovascular Diseases, held on 14-15 June 2018 in Ufa.

In Harbin Naufal Zagidullin made a plenary report "New cardiovascular end-point biomarkers after myocardial infarction", Gilyazova Irina and Timasheva Yanina took part in the competition of young scientists with reports "The role of miRNAs in cardiovascular diseases" and "Genetic Predictors of Essential Hypertension", and took the 2nd place.

Within the framework of the Association there was the meeting of BSMU delegation and graduate students, who are currently studying in the joint graduate school of BSMU and HMU, with the President of HMU, Professor Jan Baofen. He confirmed the commitment to further cooperation between the two universities.

In addition, the delegation visited the College of Pharmacology at HMU, where most of the scientific projects of fundamental nature are carried out. During the visit, the prospects of joint research in the field of cardiology, urology and other fields of medicine were discussed. There was also the meeting with Professor Xu Wanhai, Director of the Urology Clinic of the Third affiliated hospital, who discussed the scientific cooperation between the Bashkir State Medical University and Harbin Medical University in the field of urology, his work in BSMU as a visiting Professor, as well as conducting master classes on this discipline both in Russia and China.
