Representatives of BSMU became participants of Ufa International Marathon

On 2 September significant sports event took place in Ufa – Ufa International Marathon in 2018.

BSMU representatives - Professor Vladimir Ishmetov, Vice-rector for Educational and Social work, MD,  Ruslan Gainullin, head of the Physical Culture department, teachers, students and residents attended the race.

- As representatives of the medical community of the Republic, we with  great pleasure took part in the event of this format, promoting a healthy lifestyle and sport as its basis, - said Vladimir Sh. Ishmetov.

The marathon is held for the fourth time and this year the sports festival gathered more than four thousand athletes from 16 countries and 204 cities of Russia. In addition to the traditional races in 3, 10, 21.1 and 42.2 kilometers, the program of the event has a relay 4*10 km and the arrival of hand-bike riders – disabled athletes. In addition, the marathon was attended by Rustem Khamitov, the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, deputies of the State Assembly Kurultai, representatives of social and cultural life of the Republic.
