BSMU Educational and Methodical Conference “Modern medical education: topical issues, achievements and innovations”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Bashkortostan, gathered participants from Russia, Kazakhstan and the USA

On 15 November 2018 BSMU hosted the interuniversity educational conference “Modern medical education: current issues, achievements and innovations”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Bashkortostan and organized in the framework of scientific and educational cluster "Nizhnevolzhsky".  Valentin Pavlov, rector of the Bashkir State Medical University, corresponding member of RAS, Honorary Professor of Harbin Medical University, opened the conference, welcoming guests, faculty and students.

The guests from Orenburg, Samara, Kazakhstan and the United States attended the Conference. They are Ayman Kaldybaeva, associate Professor of the Physiology department at the Western Kazakhstan State Medical University, Ekaterina Nefedova, head of the Educational and Methodical department of Orenburg State Medical University of the Ministry of Healthcare of Russia, Natalia Balysheva, the leading expert on licensing and accreditation of Orenburg State Medical University of the Ministry of Healthcare of Russia, Marina Kononova, head of the Educational and Methodical department at the Institute of Professional Education of OrSMU, Selina Le May-Klippel, Professor of Nursing from New York University (USA).

The speakers discussed the organization of the educational process in the medical university, the creation of conditions for the professional competencies formation among modern specialists, the need for the introduction of electronic educational technologies. Many interesting and informative reports were presented.  As a result of active discussion, the participants of the conference exchanged experience in the field of teaching and education of students.

Based on the materials of the conference, the collection of materials was published. It included 130 articles submitted by scientific and pedagogical teams of educational organizations from St. Petersburg, Kazakhstan, Ufa, Chelyabinsk, Samara, and Orenburg.
