BSMU held the meeting with Botirjon Asadov, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation

On 14 November BSMU held the meeting with Botirjon Asadov, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation. At the talk to Valentin Pavlov, rector of BSMU, corresponding member of RAS, they discussed the cooperation of BSMU with universities of Uzbekistan, the performance of BSMU students from among the citizens of Uzbekistan, their participation in the scientific, social and sports life of the University.

- Bashkir State Medical University actively cooperates with the Republic of Uzbekistan. Currently, 54 students– citizens of Uzbekistan, are studying at BSMU. Agreements on cooperation in joint participation in conferences, scientific and academic exchange with Andijan State Medical Institute, Abu Ali Ibn Sino Bukhara State Medical Institute, Tashkent Institute of Advanced Medical Education were signed. In October 2018, Bukhara State Medical Institute became one of the co-organizers of the International Conference on Infectious Diseases and Immunology, organized by BSMU, - said Valentin Pavlov.

Botirjon Asadov met with students from among the citizens of Uzbekistan studying in the universities of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

- Specialists who have received education in the Republic of Bashkortostan are in great demand in Uzbekistan due to the high level of knowledge and necessary competencies. There are various support programs for young professionals, -said Botirjon Asadov.

The participants of the meeting in the format of an open dialogue asked questions to the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Uzbekistan in Russia, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the personnel demand, measures to support young professionals, issues of citizenship.

During the official visit, the delegation of Uzbekistan, which included the Embassy staff, representatives of the authorities of Uzbekistan, Bukhara and Namangan regions took part in promotional events “Travel to Uzbekistan!”, which were held in the framework of Ufa forum of hospitality and tourism industry. The Uzbek delegation also met with the leadership of Bashkortostan and the chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic.
