The International Surgery week starts in BSMU

On 23 April the delegation from Germany, represented by Professor Hans Schlitt, director of the Surgical Clinic of
the Medical center at Regensburg University (Germany), the leading Transplant Surgeon of Germany, and Wolf Wieland, Professor of the Urology department of Regensburg University (Germany), visit BSMU to participate in the International Surgery week.

During the day, the guests visited BSMU Clinic, got acquainted with the work of BSMU United Center of Simulation-Based Training, the Robotic Surgery center, and departments. For students and residents Hans Schlitt gave the lecture "Differential diagnosis and treatment of primary and metastatic liver tumors."

- I come to Ufa more than ten times, in turn, doctors, teachers and students of BSMU have been at Regensburg University since the signing of the contract in 2013. Each visit will be marked by a new direction in our cooperation, this visit we plan to expand cooperation, together with Professor Hans Schlitt, in the field of Transplantology, to participate in the Conference of young scientists and Student Olympiad on Surgery, - shared Professor Wolf Wieland.

At the University the guests met with the leadership of the University, for students Prof. Wolf Wieland delivered the lecture on "Erectile dysfunction," Hans Schlitt presented the lecture on "Immunological and immunosuppressive factors in resection and liver transplantation for hepatocellular cancer»

On 24 April professors from Germany meet with doctors and residents at the General Surgery department with the Course of Radiation Diagnosis of IAPE in G. G. Kuvatov Republican Clinical hospital. This day Prof. Hans Schlitt gives the lecture on transplantation, Prof. Wolf Wieland moderates the 84th All-Russian Conference of students and young scientists with international participation "Issues of theoretical and practical medicine".

On 25-26 April Professor Wolf Wieland will take part in the All-Russian Student Olympiad on Surgery with international participation as a jury member. In the competition the 3rd-6th year students of faculties of General Medicine and Pediatrics from higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation, as well as students from Mannheim faculty of General Medicine at Heidelberg University (Germany), Peking University, Harbin Medical University (China), I. K. Akhunbayeva Kyrgyz State Medical Academy, Medical University of Astana, and BSMU International team, which includes foreign students from Tajikistan, India and Armenia, will participate. The best student will be awarded the Olympic scalpel.
