The Eurasian Congress of Urologists starts in Ufa

On 24 May, the Eurasian Congress of Urologists began its work in the Congress hall “Toratau” in Ufa. The Congress is considered as a large-scale scientific and educational event for the world medical community in the field of Urology.

The opening ceremony was attended by Maxim Zabelin, acting Minister of Healthcare of Bashkortostan, Oleg Loran, academician of RAS, head of the Urology department at the Russian Medical Academy of Continuous Professional Education (RMACPE), Magomed Gazimiev, Professor of the Urology department at Sechenov University, Valentin Pavlov, rector of the Bashkir State Medical University, corresponding member of RAS, chief urologist of the Volga Federal district, Professor Wang Xiaomin, Director of the Urology department at the Fourth Affiliated hospital of Harbin Medical University (China), Professor Bulat Shavlekanov, corresponding member of National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, head of the Urology and Andrology department at Kazakh Medical University of Continuous Education (KazMUCE) (Kazakhstan), Khayreddin Rizoev, associate Professor of the Urology department at Abuaili ibni Sino Tajik State Medical University (Tajikistan).

Maxim Zabelin, acting Minister of Healthcare of Bashkortostan, opened the Congress:

- On behalf of the acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov, I congratulate the participants of the Eurasian Congress of Urologists. We are glad that this forum was born in the Republic of Bashkortostan and it is not accidental: the urological school of Bashkortostan is recognized in many countries of the world, our experts cooperate with the world scientific and clinical centers. Innovative developments with broad prospects for practical implementation are presented at the sessions of the Congress.

Oleg Loran, Academician of RAS, spoke at the opening ceremony:

- A very extensive and serious program is presented at the Congress today, which indicates the integrality of the specialty of urology with many clinical and fundamental Sciences. However, most importantly, it is a practical benefit of the Congress for both doctors and our patients.

The Congress is organized by I. M. Sechenov First Moscow Medical University, Russian Society of Urologists and Bashkir State Medical University.

- Every tenth patient in the primary care has diseases of the urological profile and today we are focusing on the availability and quality of medical care in the primary care. Urology is a problem of both young and old people. Such congresses and conferences aimed at the solution of many problems in the open discussion form, which are facing urologists today, - emphasized Valentin Pavlov, rector of BSMU, corresponding member of RAS.

The Congress brought together more than 600 participants from such countries as China, Great Britain, Spain, Italy, France, Estonia, Romania, India, Kazakhstan, etc. Among them, there are the leading urologists from around the world: members of the Presidium of the Congress, as well as Director of the Andrological department Eduardo Ruiz Castane (Spain), Professor of the University of Surrey Inga Prokopenko (UK), Professor, Urologist of the European Medical Center Pierre Mono (France), etc

- Today I make the report on fertility and efficiency of operations on the genitourinary system organs. The level of the Congress in Ufa is not inferior to the countries of Europe and America. I would like to note an interesting format of the Conference with the division of opinions of urology and andrology, - noticed the Director of the Anthropological department Eduardo Ruiz Castane (Barcelona, Spain).

On the first day of the Congress there are sections Oncoimmunology, Cell technology in Urology, Andrology, Neurology, Urolithiasis, and the International session "One belt one road".

BSMU Clinic broadcasts Live-surgery case studies on treatment of urological diseases for the participants of the Congress. The following leading urologists of the country present the case studies: Evgeny Bezrukov, Professor of the Urology department of Sechenov University, Mikhail Mosoyan head of the Robotic Surgery Center at V. A. Almazov National Medical Research Center (St. Petersburg), Professor Evgeniy Shpot, head of the Onco-urology department, Aleksey Martov, head of the Urology and Andrology department at A.I. Burnazyan Federal Medical Biophysical.

The Congress continues to 25 May at the following sections:Benign prostatic hyperplasia, Nuclear Medicine, Urethral strictures, Complications of treatment of prostate cancer, Bladder cancer, Pediatric urology, Reconstructive plastic surgery in urology, Kidney transplantation, Hemodialysis, Urogynecology, Reproductive urology, etc. and in the format of live-surgery case studies.
