Festival "Debut-2019" of first-year students’ amateur performances was held in BSMU

On 22 October, the gala concert of the annual festival for freshmen "Debut-2019"was held in the concert hall named after F. Gaskarov. The solemn part of the evening was opened by Valentin N. Pavlov, rector of BSMU, corresponding member of RAS. He addressed the freshmen with words of farewell and wished to strive for new knowledge.

Every year the festival "Debut" is gaining momentum. The year 2019 in Russia is declared the Year of Theatre, so the festival of freshmen was held under the motto "The whole world is a theater, and the people are actors".

For a whole month, the participants prepared and demonstrated their talents in various directions: choreography, vocal, artistic word and original genre. This year, the jury was in disarray. For the first time all faculties showed their performances at a high level, combining them into a single concert composition.

Denis Meleshin managed to win the hearts of everyone in the audience. The student of the Faculty of Pediatrics played the accordion so masterly and won the Grand Prix of the festival "Debut-2019".
