Vladimir Putin held the meeting of the presidium of the State Council on Healthcare issues
Under the chairmanship of the Russian President Vladimir Putin, the extended meeting of the presidium of the State Council was held in Svetlogorsk (Kaliningrad region) on the theme “On the tasks of the subjects of the Russian Federation in the field of healthcare”. Minister of Healthcare Veronika Skvortsova in her report noted that in Russia major changes in the health sector have been in recent years, aimed at the formation of a unified national patient-oriented system. At the same time, the Minister said, "it is necessary to have extensive revision of the infrastructure in accordance with real needs of the population, including transport infrastructure and level of development of digital technologies, and given the forecast demographic and migration changes."
In accordance with the instruction of the President and the principles of modernization of primary healthcare, all subjects of the Russian Federation will have to complete in a short time the revision of the schemes of placement and capacity of primary health care organizations, certification of each medical organization with an assessment of wear and tear of buildings, equipment and transport.
"The Ministry of Healthcare, together with other agencies, will provide comprehensive assistance to the regions in drawing up regional programs for the modernization of primary healthcare, and then in their implementation," Veronika Skvortsova emphasized.
