Students of Nanchang University and their outcomes of summer-time practice in BSMU

Six senior students from Nanchang University have made their practical work, and two teachers - hepatologist Dr. Fan Zhou and general physician Dr. Li Qiu - have shared clinical experience with students of BSMU since 5th to 16th July. During the stay guests of our university had a meeting with Rector of BSMU Corresponding member of Russian Academy of Sciences Professor Valentin N. Pavlov. The excursion in BSMU included visits to Department of Anatomy, Department of Pathologic physiology , Laboratory of cell culture. Students had their practice on two clinical bases: BSMU Clinic and Republican clinical hospital named after G.G. Kuvatov. For three days they have taken part in work of departments of the bases and have seen methods of surgical treatment (laparoscopic cholecystectomy, sanitation and abdominal drains, surgical treatment of Prostatic Hyperplasia). Head of Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Professor Elena E. Savelyeva invited colleagues to Otolaryngology Department, where they examined patients and studied modern ways of auditory analyzer treatment. As well delegation of Nanchang University worked in Department of Neurosurgery and Department of General surgery. Especially for our guests from Nanchang University Professor Valentin N. Pavlov performed an operation of Laparoscopic kidney resection, Professor Majit A. Nartaylakov gave a masterclass of Roux-en-Y hepaticojejunostomy? Professor Shamil M.Safin and Deputy Chief Physician for Surgery Vladimir P. Sokolov gave a masterclass of brain oncotomy. Every evening delegation from China visited different cultural events. As our guests said, they would be really pleased to take students from BSMU for practical work in exchange in the end of this August.
