BSMU team took the prize-winning place in VI International Student Surgery Olympiad

On December 6-9, the VI International Student Olympiad in Surgery was held in the Novosibirsk State Medical University. The participants of the Surge.Skills project in the team of Bashkir State Medical University took the third place in the team competition.

The BSMU team included: the senior member of the Surge. Skills, team leader, assistant of the Department of Topographical Anatomy and Operative Surgery Afzal Tukhtaboev, team captain Arsen Nigmadzhanov (L-307B), as well as Alexey Mitryukov (L-510B), Gulmira Khomidova (L-417A), Murodali Salimov (L-419A), Lilia Nagimova (P-312B), Valeria Veldyaeva (L-315B), Elnur Bagirov (L-317A).

BSMU students also showed excellent results in separate competitions. Valeria Veldyaeva (assistant) and Lilia Nagimova (nurse) took the first place in the contest "Suture of tendon". Arsen Nigmadzhanov (military doctor) and Elnur Bagirov (military doctor) came second in the "Emergency Care" competition. Also second place in ACS went to Gulmira Khomidova (operator) and Murodali Salimov (assistant). Arsen Nigmajanov (operator) and Elnur Bagirov (surgical nurse) were third in the contest "Intestinal anastomosis on an experimental animal". Also the third place in the competition "Vessel suture" was taken by Murodali Salimov (operator) and Gulmira Khomidova (assistant). The three winners in the "Plastic Surgery" competition were closed by Valeria Veldyaeva, who acted as an assistant.
