International Mother Tongue Day at BSMU

The International Mother Tongue Day is celebrated on February 21! This is an important holiday for our university, as well as for the republic and the country! Representatives of more than 190 nationalities live in Russia, and each has a unique language, culture and outlook on the world. Representatives of different regions of Russia and more than five thousand foreigners from 60 countries of the world study and work at BSMU, who, along with Russian and English, speak their native languages: Bashkir, Tatar, Mari, Chechen, Hindi, Arabic, Farsi and many others.

Especially for this date, the Department of Russian Language, Linguistics and International Communication of BSMU, together with the Dean's Office for Work with Foreign Students, is holding a marathon of master classes in foreign languages "Journey into the world of Languages" from February 21 to 24. For three days, our international students will introduce everyone to their native languages, talk about the peculiarities of writing, the grammatical system, and teach them how to compose basic dialogues on the topic of "Acquaintance".
