The Center for Tactical Medicine of the Bashkir State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia began its work at the University. The cycle of classes started with the training of residents of the first and second years of study.
Training is conducted by professional instructors with pedagogical education and real combat experience - these are participants in hostilities teaching tactical medicine and for fighters on the front line. A training course in tactical medicine with stress training was developed by professional instructors and organized within the framework of the Center for Tactical Medicine of the Bashkir State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia and will be included in the compulsory educational program of the university.
The head of the Center for Tactical Medicine is a course instructor for the University, a participant in the SMO Alina Ildarovna Mananova. The young girl served for six months in a volunteer detachment in the SMO and worked in the evacuation group of the wounded. After completing the service, the University invited Alina Mananova to become a part of the Center for Tactical Medicine, taking into account both the accumulated experience in the combat zone and in the field of education.
- For four days, the participants studied the theoretical and practical part of the course, now we are working out all the knowledge gained in conditions close to a civilian emergency both in peaceful and wartime conditions. Future medical workers should be ready for anything and be able to provide assistance even in the most difficult conditions, - comments Alina Mananova, Head of the Center for Tactical Medicine of the Bashkir State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia.
Alina Ildarovna, winner of Russian state awards - the Luka Krymsky medal, was awarded the LPR state awards for saving lives, for will and faith, as well as the medal of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for participating in a special military operation as a military physician.
In BSMU, two floors, classrooms and a gym of the University Medical College are allocated for training. To study theoretical material, photo and video materials from real hostilities are used, as well as dummy simulators with wounds. All this helps to clearly demonstrate life-threatening conditions in various emergency situations. Practical skills are practiced in the gym. The basis for practical training is the territory of the Victory paintball club, where all conditions are provided for practicing the knowledge gained in conditions close to real events. The course will end with a credit.
- We train our future doctors so that they, first of all, can professionally handle the victim both in combat and in civilian conditions: provide first aid, stabilize him and prepare him for further evacuation. The guys learn to apply tourniquets, bandages, occlusal plasters, learn to do dressing and much more. By teaching our students, we show that emergencies in the civilian world and real combat experience are about the same, "comments tactical medicine instructor, head of the paintball club, Victory, course instructor Yunir Ikhsanov.
During the training, program participants study:
- classifications and types of wounds, modern methods of stopping external bleeding. Separation of medical supplies;
- system of medical and evacuation measures in emergency situations of peacetime and wartime, service and improvised means of first aid;
- desmurgy in military field conditions, anesthesia, fight against hypothermia, standard and improvised means of evacuation of wounded, safe transportation;
- fight against traumatic shock, stabilization of wounded.
Resident from the Republic of Yemen Makbel Abdulaziz Adel Mahdi shared the importance of gaining knowledge in the field of tactical medicine: "Here we are taught how to save people in dangerous situations: how to do it quickly, accurately and correctly. There is a war going on in Yemen and many have suffered and died because they were not given proper first aid. Such courses are not held in our homeland. Thanks to our university, we can gain such knowledge and teach others to apply it in real life".
- Our instructors put more emphasis on providing medical assistance in civil emergencies, for example, major accidents, man-made accidents. Anything can happen in life. It would be ideal if everyone knew how to provide first aid. It is important that the doctors themselves, in which case, are not confused and are able to quickly and efficiently provide medical assistance to the victim," said Nikita Meshcheryakov, a resident of 1 year of study in the specialty "Traumatology and Orthopedics".
Kristina Romanova, resident in the direction of traumatology and orthopedics, the only girl in the group: "In the residency of the first year of study in the direction of traumatology and orthopedics, I am the only one girl here. The course teaches first aid in various situations - in car accidents, plane crashes, in emergency situations. I consider it very important to gain such important knowledge in the modern world."
