BSMU delegation took part in the II International Medical Congress of SCO countries and the Republican Conference of Cardiologists of Uzbekistan

A delegation of specialists from among the faculty and medical scientists of the Bashkir State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia took part in the II International Medical Congress of the SCO countries and the republican conference of cardiologists of Uzbekistan in Tashkent (Uzbekistan).

The event took place on May 2-3, 2025 and brought together more than 1000 participants from Uzbekistan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Italy, Iran, the USA and other countries.

The delegation of BGMU of the Russian Ministry of Health submitted 9 reports:

1) Prof. Zagidullin N.Sh.: Promising possibilities of drug therapy in CHF; COVID-19 and cardiovascular diseases - according to the results of own studies and the original ticagrelor as part of antiplatelet therapy. In addition, the professor was the moderator of the section "COVID-19 and cardiovascular diseases";

2) Doctor of Economics, Professor, Head of the Executive Directorate of the Priority-2030 Program I.V. Burenina: Transformation of the FSBEI HE BSMU of the Ministry of Health of Russia into a world-class research center;

3) Associated Professor, candidate of Medical Sciences Pushkareva A.E.: Types of high-tech assistance in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases in the BSMU Clinic;

4) Associated Professor, candidate of Medical Sciences Badykov MR: Bradyarrhythmias in patients with COVID-19 and Experience in the treatment of atrial fibrillation in patients with conduction disorders;

5) Associated Professor, candidate of Medical Sciences Gareeva D.F.: Cardiovascular burden of various waves of the COVID-19 pandemic;

6) Associated Professor, candidate of Medical Sciences Badykova E.A.: Convolution of coronary arteries as a risk factor for cardiovascular events.

As a part of the visit, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Bashkir State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia and the Research Institute of Cardiology of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The documents were signed by Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Pavlov Valentin Nikolaevich and Director of the Research Institute Professor Fozilov Khurshid Gairatovich.

The BSMU delegation also visited Tashkent State Medical University, where it took part in the international conference on maxillofacial surgery and dentistry dedicated to the anniversary of M.B. Ubaidulaev, professor of the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery of BSMU (70 years old).

Head of the Executive Directorate of the Priority-2030 Program, Professor I.V. Burenina made a welcoming speech from the University: Professor Ubaidulaev M.B. - a native of Uzbekistan and for many years before working at the Bashkir State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia worked at Tashkent State Dental University.

In Tashkent, a few days before the anniversary, 3 large medical universities - the Tashkent State Medical Academy, the Tashkent State Dental University and the Tashkent Pediatric University - merged into a single Tashkent State Medical University. Prof. Shukhrat Boimuradov.

Note that prof. Sh. Boymuradov in November 2024 visited the Bashkir State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia as part of an official delegation and was glad to meet with our delegation to discuss new options for the development of cooperation.

The delegation of the University also visited Samarkand Medical University (Samarkand) at the invitation of the Uzbek side, where they met with the heads of departments of the university, where they discussed the possibilities of cooperation between universities.
