Russian urology strengthens its position in the international arena. The authoritative international journal IJU approved the editorial pool of a leading expert in the field of urology - the rector of the Bashkir State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Valentin Nikolaevich Pavlov.
Rector joined the editorial board of the International Journal of Urology (International Journal of Urology) by decision of the Japanese Urological Association (JUA), with the assistance of the Asian Urological Association (UAA). The candidacy was agreed with the Russian Society of Urology (PROU), an active partner of both associations.
Valentin Nikolaevich was appointed for a two-year term - from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2027. His duties as a member of the editorial board will include reviewing scientific articles and materials of the journal, which directly affects the world level of published research.
With the direct participation of the rector of the Bashkir State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia, Russian specialists regularly participate in congresses of the Asian Urological Association. Moreover, UAA is the official co-organizer of major international events in Russia, including the International Congress on Fundamental and Clinical Urology and Oncourology, which takes place annually in Ufa.
Why it's meaningful:
UAA and JUA are the leading professional medical communities bringing together the best in urology. Their activities are aimed at promoting advanced research, introducing innovative technologies and raising global treatment standards. For the Russian medical community, participation in the work of IJU is recognition of the highest level of expertise and opening up opportunities for integration into world science.
