As part of the implementation of the program of academic mobility of students and teachers, the delegation of the Bashkir State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia, consisting of: Khasanova G.M. - Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases, Burganova A.N. - Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases, Aznabaeva R.M. - resident of 2 years of study at the Department of Infectious Diseases, visited the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I. K. Akhunbayeva (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan). The visit, which took place from May 25 to May 28, 2026, combined two key events: the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Actual Problems of Childhood Infectious Diseases" and an educational module for KSMA students. The events were implemented on the basis of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the BSMU of the Ministry of Health of Russia and KSMA named after I.K. Akhunbayev dated August 29, 2014, which confirms the long history of strategic partnership between the two universities.
The first part of the visit focused on academic mobility of teavhing staff. In accordance with the approved working program of the discipline "Pediatric Infectious Diseases" of the Department of Pediatric Infectious Diseases of the KSMA for the academic year 2025-2026, the teachers of the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Bashkir State Medical University held a series of lectures and practical classes for 5th year students of the medical and pediatric faculties. Classes were held in full-time format directly in the clinical bases of the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy, which made it possible to integrate advanced Russian educational approaches into the educational process of colleagues.
On May 26-27, 2026, the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Actual Problems of Childhood Infectious Diseases" was held within the walls of the KSMA, bringing together leading specialists, scientists, teachers and young researchers from Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
The organizers of a large-scale scientific forum were four authoritative organizations:
- BSMU of the Ministry of Health of Russia (Ufa, Russia);
- KSMA named after I.K. Akhunbaev (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan);
- IIGCH AS RUz (Tashkent, Uzbekistan);
- NAO ZKMU named after M. Ospanov (Aktobe, Kazakhstan).
The conference opened with a welcoming speech by the rector of KSMA, Professor Indira Orozobaevna Kudaibergenova, who emphasized the critical importance of international cooperation for the development of a modern infectious diseases service and improving the quality of training of medical personnel.
As a part of the plenary session, where BSMU professor Guzel Mirgasimovna Khasanova joined the presidium, key reports were heard on modern challenges in pediatric infectious pathology, vaccination, diagnosis of co-infections and viral hepatitis. Professor Khasanova presented a report on the topic: "The possibilities of modern test systems for predicting severe hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome at an early stage." Associate Professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Bashkir State Medical University Alyona Naipovna Burganova spoke at the symposium with a report on topical infectious exanthemas in the practice of an infectious disease doctor.
On behalf of the rector of BSMU, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Valentin Nikolaevich Pavlov and in accordance with the decision of the Academic Council of the university, a ceremony of recognition of scientific merits took place at the conference. For an outstanding contribution to the development of medical science and education, as well as many years of strengthening academic ties, the title "Honorary Doctor of BSMU" was solemnly awarded to the rector of KSMA named after I.K. Akhunbaev Indira Orozobaevna Kudaibergenova.
For a significant contribution to joint projects and personnel training, BSMU diplomas were awarded:
- Mamatov Niyazbek Nurlanbekovich - Vice-Rector for Scientific and Medical Work of KSMA;
- Dzholbunova Zuura Kerimbekovna - Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Pediatric Infectious Diseases, KSMA;
- Kadyrova Rakhat Mavlyutovna - Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Pediatric Infectious Diseases, KSMA.
A separate part of the program was the competition of young scientists. Representatives of all participating countries demonstrated a high level of training. The resident of the 2nd year of study of the Bashkir State Medical University in the specialty "Infectious Diseases" Ramilya Munirovna Aznabaeva presented a report on the topic "Botulism in the Republic of Bashkortostan: clinical and epidemiological features of the course." The work was praised by an international jury, and the author was awarded a Diploma of the II degree.
As a result of the work, the conference participants unanimously noted that the implementation of the academic mobility program brings cooperation between BSMU and KSMA to a qualitatively new level, contributing to the introduction of the best educational practices and scientific achievements in clinical medicine.
