Registration at the “I am a Professional” Olympiad 2019-2020
General information
"I am a Professional" is one of the flagship projects of the presidential platform "Russia is a country of opportunities". The Olympiad is supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. The basis of the project is the Olympiad of students, as well as the organization and conduct of "Winter Schools" and internships of the Olympiad graduates in the largest Russian companies. The purpose of the all-Russian Student Olympiad "I am a Professional" is to identify and support talented students and to increase the interaction of educational institutions of higher education with enterprises. The Olympiad is held in different areas, united in groups (Natural Sciences, Computer Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Social and Economic Sciences, Pedagogical Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Medicine and Healthcare).
The Olympiad is considered socially important and designed to cover all regions and all Russian universities in order to become the instrument of independent quality control of bachelor's and master's education for the subsequent development and implementation of a set of measures aimed at improving the competitiveness of higher education institutions in the regions and improving educational programs.
Project organizers are: Association of organizers of student Olympiad "I am a Professional", all-Russian Association of employers "Russian Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs", leading Russian universities and leading companies in the country, including Sberbank of Russia, Bank VTB, TMK, the State Corporation "Rosatom". Yandex is the technical partner of the Olympiad. In total, more than 300 Russian companies are involved in the organization and holding of the Olympiad. Bashkir State Medical University is a co-organizer of the Olympiad.

Brief calendar plan of the Olympiad
Registration (2 October – 18 November 2019)
During the registration period, participants fill out the form on the website and choose the direction of participation. Demos are available in your account. On the website of the Olympiad - additional materials.
Collection of applications for Winter schools (1 November – 8 December 2019)
By 1 November, the program of each Winter school is published on the Olympiad portal, and the participants have the opportunity to apply in the personal account. As part of the application participants attach motivational letters. On the results of these letters’ consideration future participants are selected.
Qualifying stage (22 November – 8 December 2019)
Competitions of the qualifying stage are held online. At the end of December, the results of the selection are published. Participants who have successfully coped with the tasks, go to the final stage.
Results of the online stage and selection for Winter schools
(25 December 2019)
Points and statuses appear in the personal accounts of the participants, which indicate the right to pass to the final stage. Those who have passed the full-time stage choose the venue in their personal account. Passing scores are published on the Olympiad website. Also, certificates of participation in the qualifying stage and certificates of admission to the final stage become available in personal accoounts.
Final stage (25 January – 4 March 2020)
The final stage is held in-person at major universities across the country. Preliminary finalists can choose a geographically convenient platform for participation in the competition.
Winter schools (25 January – 28 February 2020)
Winter schools are specialized educational forums held by the University-organizer of the direction (or directions) and partners-employers.
Summing up (31 March 2020)
The website publishes the final results of the Olympiad. In personal accounts of participants there are statuses; access to downloading of diplomas and certificates of the Olympiad opens.
