Currently, the department employs 3 professors, 14 associate professors, 1 senior teacher.
The department has 8 classrooms (including 3 computer labs), with a total area of 263.9 m2. Classes with residents are held in the assembly hall of the polyclinic GBHI CCH No. 21 and RCH No. 2. There are classrooms for independent extracurricular work of students.
At the Department of Public Health and Health Organization, with the course of ICPE, training is carried out in residency in the specialty "Organization of Health Care and Public Health" and postgraduate studies in the specialty "Public Health and Health Care".
The department organized a course of the Institute of Additional Professional Education, which trains doctors-specialists in the cycles of professional retraining: "Organization of health care and public health" (504 and 576 academic hours) and advanced training: "Organization of health care and public health" (144 academic hours) ; "Quality control of medical care, examination of temporary disability" (144 academic hours); "Quality control of medical care in the system of compulsory medical insurance" (144 academic hours); "Management of the quality and safety of medical activities, examination of the quality of medical care" (144 academic hours); "Examination of temporary disability" (72 academic hours); "Fundamentals of Telemedicine Technologies Application in Health Care" 36 acad. hour.; "Organization of prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of a new coronavirus infection COVID-19" 36 acad. hour.; "Organization of activity of diagnostic departments of medical organizations" 144 acad. hour.; "Organization of project activities in a medical organization" 36 acad. hour.; "Training of insurance representatives of the second level in health care" 36 acad. hour.; "Training of insurance representatives of the third level in health care" 72 acad. hour. "Management in health care" 36 acad. hour.

At the Department of Public Health and Health Organization with a course of ICPE, students are trained in the language of an intermediary (English) for specialty 31.05.01 General medicine, 31.05.03 Dentistry.
Disciplines that are taught to students: history of medicine, public health and healthcare.

The department has organized and successfully operates circles on public health and health care: the head is associate professor Latypov A.B., on the history of medicine: the head is associate professor A.U. Kinyabulatov.
