HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Pathophysiology was organized in 1934 2 years after the opening of the Bashkir State Medical Institute in Ufa. Vladimir Aleksandrovich Samtsov, a graduate of the Medical Faculty of Kazan State University, who defended his PhD thesis in 1936, and his doctoral thesis in 1944, was invited to head the department for 37 years (from 1934 to 1971).

The stage of formation and rise of the department was difficult and difficult. The department was located in the biocorpus on the 3rd floor together with the Department of Histology, had 4 classrooms and occupied an area of 80 m2. About 300 students of the Faculty of Medicine were trained annually. In the difficult pre-war and war years, Professor V.A. Samtsov, head of the Department, and G.N. Kaibanov, Assistant Candidate of Medical Sciences (1934-1945) taught. Since 1945, assistant Pelts D.G. (1945-1949) replaced Kaibanov G.S. In the period up to 1971, accs worked at the department. Ogorodnikov N.K. (1948-1949), ass. Candidate of Medical Sciences Rozova E.I. (1949-1951), ass. Kasatkina G.V. (1949-1951), ass., assoc. Candidate of Medical Sciences Teregulov R.G. (1952-1956), ass. Candidate of Biological Sciences Insarova G.E. (1965-1971). Many of the teachers who worked at that time were invited from other universities of the country (V.A. Samtsov, G.S. Kaibanov, D.G. Pelts, E.I. Rozova, G.V. Kasatkina, S.A. Ryzhanovskaya, Yu.P. Baldin, etc.).

The main direction of Professor Samtsov's scientific research was the study of reactivity issues in various pathological conditions (shocks, inflammation,

allergies, pain, ionizing radiation). Since 1950, the department has actively begun training its own staff in graduate school (Teregulov R.G., Muksinova K.N., Batyrova T.R., Enikeev D.A., Insarova G.E.). Under the guidance of Professor V.A. Samtsov, 13 candidate's theses were defended and the experimental part of 5 doctoral dissertations was carried out, but official documents confirming scientific consulting no). From Professor V.A. Samtsov has 50 scientific publications (8 journal articles, the rest theses).

After V.A. Samtsov's retirement in 1971, the department was headed by Professor R.G. Teregulov, a graduate of BSMU, who went from graduate student to head of the Department of Pathophysiology at first Altai (1956-1960), then Bashkir Medical Institutes (1971-1987). Professor R.G. Teregulov introduced some innovations in the educational process. During this period, the department was additionally equipped with modern medical equipment (electrocardiographs, tonometers, sliders, centrifuges, pH meters, thermostats, televisions, video recorder, etc.) for educational and scientific purposes. Professor R.G. In the 70s, Teregulov combined work at the department with the head of the Central Research Institute of BGMI.

Since 1980, the department moved to a new building, and the study areas have significantly increased (there were 6 classrooms), where students of 6 faculties were engaged: medical (day and evening departments), pediatric, sanitary, dental, pharmaceutical. A biochemical laboratory, an operating room, and a vivarium appeared. The staff of teachers has grown to 8 people. In the period from (1971-1987), the ass., senior lecturer, Candidate of Medical Sciences Ter-Markaryan N.G. (1962-1983), ass., Associate Professor, Candidate of Medical Sciences Enikeev D.A. (1965-1987), ass., associate Professor, Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences Gizatullin A. worked at the department.G. (1970-1982), acc. Eyvazov I.M. (1971-1976), ass. The merit of Professor R.G. Teregulov is that he managed to create and maintain a stable team of teachers (Enikeev D.A., Lehmus V.I., Khalitova G.G., Yarmukhamedova A.G.), working at the department for more than 25 years.

Professor R.G. Teregulov together with Professor A.G. Gizatullin began to develop a new scientific direction – the mechanisms of neurohumoral regulation of hematopoiesis. Under his leadership, 6 candidate's and 1 doctoral dissertations were defended, about 100 scientific papers were published (from the bottom 1 invention, 1 textbook). By 1983, all employees of the department had an academic degree.

Since 1987, the Department of Pathophysiology has been headed by Professor D.A. Enikeev, who also successively went from graduate student to professor, head of the department. During this period, Prof., MD Teregulov R.G. (1952-1956, 1960-1996), Associate Professor, PhD Lehmus V.I. (1973 – present) continued to work at the department. time), ass., assoc. K.B.N. During these years, there have been certain changes in the training of personnel at the BGMI: the medical and preventive, higher nursing education (full-time and correspondence departments), the correspondence department of the Faculty of Pharmacy were added to the previously existing faculties. New practical classes were introduced into the educational process, tests on each topic were developed, a "Workshop on general and private pathophysiology", a workshop on "Pathology" for the VSO and pharmaceutical faculties were published. Professor Enikeev D.A. he started and completed a lot of work on the creation of a gallery of stands (450) and 10 educational and thematic modules on the pathophysiology of extreme and terminal conditions, which have no analogues in the Russian Federation. A gallery of portraits of Nobel Prize laureates in Medicine, Physics and Chemistry related to medicine and biology has been created (160 portraits in total). The computer classroom has been completely re-equipped, where the current knowledge control, test exam and federal on-line testing are carried out. In the period from 2003 to 2008 . The Department of Pathophysiology for educational, methodological and research work took the first places at the medical faculty and at BSMU. For the achievements in educational, methodological and scientific work, the staff of the department was awarded with a multimedia complex and modern video equipment, which are actively used in the educational process.

The main scientific direction of the department: pathophysiology of extreme and terminal conditions caused by trauma, shock, blood loss, stress, coma, poisoning, asphyxia, etc. To date, under the direct supervision of Professor D.A. Enikeev, 25 candidate and 13 doctoral dissertations have been defended, over 800 scientific and educational works have been published. Professor D.A. Enikeev

became a co-author of a textbook in 2 volumes – edited by A.I. Volozhin and G.V.
