The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry with courses in analytical and toxicological chemistry is one of the specialized departments of the Faculty of Pharmacy. The head of the department is Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences Elena Edmundovna Klen .

Students of the Faculty of Pharmacy and students of the Faculty of Preventive Medicine with the Department of Biology are trained at the department. Training is conducted in two languages, in Russian and in the intermediary language - English.

Classes in all subjects are conducted in classrooms equipped with the necessary equipment and chemical reagents. A complete set of educational and methodological materials has been developed for conducting classes in all courses. Industrial practice was organized for 5th year students at the pharmacies of the State Unitary Enterprise “ Bashfarmatsiya ”, municipal pharmacies, pharmacies of health care institutions in the city of Ufa , as well as cities and regions of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

Students of the Faculty of Pharmacy are trained at the department in the disciplines “Analytical Chemistry”, “Pharmaceutical Chemistry”, “Modern Methods of Analysis of Drugs”, “Toxicological Chemistry”. In addition, students of the microbiology department of the medical and preventive faculty are trained in the disciplines “Analytical Chemistry” and “Modern Methods for the Analysis of Chemical Compounds”.

The department organizes elective courses in the following disciplines:

1. “Identification of organic compounds” for 2nd year students (IV semester).

2. “Modern approaches to the standardization of foreign and domestic medicines” for 5th year students (IX semester).

Responsible for carrying out: professor, doctor of pharmaceutical sciences. Maple E.E.

To ensure the educational process, the department has developed guidelines for students and teachers in all disciplines. A laboratory workshop was organized. Classes are conducted in specialized laboratories equipped with the necessary equipment and reagents. To control the assimilation of knowledge, test tasks and situational tasks have been created. A system of independent work has been developed, which includes educational and research work of students.

Every year, students complete coursework and theses under the guidance of teachers.

An important part of the educational process is educational practice. Being a logical continuation and an integral part of the educational process, industrial practice is designed to consolidate and expand theoretical knowledge, practical skills in quality control of medicines, and ensure a high level of professional training for future pharmacists. Students of the Faculty of Pharmacy undergo practical training in quality control of medicines in control and analytical laboratories, analytical rooms of pharmacy institutions, assigned by the university as production bases in agreement with the State Unitary Enterprise "Bashfarmatsiya".

The taught disciplines in all specialties are provided with educational and methodological complexes. Educational and methodological complexes include:

- Federal State Educational Standard for Higher Professional Education;

- Qualification characteristics of the specialist

- Basic educational program (BEP) of a specialist;

-      syllabus;

- work program of the discipline;

- abstract of the lecture course (methodological development of lectures);

- methodological recommendations for teachers;

- methodological instructions for students for practical classes;

- guidelines for students for independent classroom work;

- guidelines for students for independent extracurricular work;

- a set of tests in the discipline for the first stage of the exam;

- fund of questions for stage II of the exam;

- fund of questions for stage III of the exam

- a set of exam cards;

- criteria for scoring the knowledge and skills of students in the main discipline

- table of provision of the discipline with educational literature.
