To successfully master the discipline in the department, the following forms and methods of study of the subject are used:

- Multimedia lectures highlighting recent advances in the subject under study;

 - Practical classes using methodological recommendations (developed by staff of the department), including solving situational problems, test tasks, working on mushrooms and phantoms, including classes at the Practical Skills Center; demonstration of videos (including those performed with the direct participation of students), design of medical stories, work in the department under the guidance of the teacher.

Computer testing programs are used in the learning process. Materials for independent non-auditing work of students have been developed and posted on the department's website - testing in on-lain mode with setting of time timer and fixation of obtained results in electronic journal on the department's website:

- for 4-year students (autumn semester - 24 test tasks; spring semester - 24 test tasks);

- for 5-year students (22 test tasks);

- for students of the 6th year (20 test tasks in obstetrics and 14 test tasks in gynecology);

To carry out the final knowledge control, a computer program is used in offline mode with setting a time timer and recording the obtained results in an electronic journal on the department's website: test tasks for the final control for each course of 44 questions (respectively 600/550/500/350 questions).

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology No. 1 has developed a system of measures to improve the quality of preparation for GIA for students of the 6th year of the medical faculty:

1. Every year, control and measuring materials for students of the 6th year of the medical faculty are updated, exhibited on the website of the department and used in the educational process to prepare for the State final certification, including a formulation, a list of questions for self-training, test tasks, tasks of all sections on the discipline "Obstetrics and gynaecology" on the basis of the curriculum.

2. A multimedia presentation "Preparing for GIA" was created and exhibited on the portal of the department.

3. There is a stand "Tools used in obstetrics and gynecology," as well as simulators and dolls for learning practical skills.

4. The department uses information computer technologies:

- Materials for online testing with fixation of obtained results are placed on the training portal of the department;

- a computer program in offline mode is used to carry out the final knowledge control;
