The department conducts teaching in the direction of "Healthcare" in three specialties: pharmacy management and economics, pharmaceutical technology, pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmacognosy, including specialty, internship, residency and postgraduate studies, professional retraining and advanced training. To ensure a full-hedged educational process, the department has created an educational and methodological complex compiled in all disciplines, taking into account the requirements of the State Educational Standard and professional standards. Methodological recommendations for teachers and students have been developed on all topics.

In 2019, additional educational programs for advanced training and professional retraining were revised and brought into compliance with the requirements of Federal Law No. 273 "On Education in the Russian Federation". Since 2015, the staff of the department has been working on training highly qualified personnel in the direction 33.06.01 "Pharmacy" - for residency and postgraduate studies. The main educational residency programs were prepared for licensing in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard in the following specialties: 33.08.01 - pharmaceutical technology, 33.08.02 - pharmacy management and economics, 33.08.03 - pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmacognosy, and a license was obtained. Together with the teaching staff of the Faculty of Pharmacy, documents were prepared for licensing the main educational program of higher education-the postgraduate program in the direction 33.06.01 Pharmacy in the direction (specialty) 14.04.02 – pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacognosy. Starting from 2017 to the present, work has been carried out to form a list and approve additional professional programs within the framework of NME (continuing medical education). Positive decisions of reviewers were received for 22 DPS (36 hours each) in the main pharmaceutical specialties.

Since 1996, 46 textbooks and guidelines for interns, residents, pharmacists and pharmacists have been published on the most relevant sections of drug science, of which 17 have the UME stamp for medical and pharmaceutical education of Russian universities.

The department has a library of specialized periodicals on pharmacy. A computer fund has been created that includes training and monitoring programs, computer training programs, situational tasks, and a complete database of Pharmacopoeial articles on drugs. Educational films on the production of solid, liquid and soft dosage forms at domestic and foreign enterprises in accordance with GMP standards have been prepared for video screening. Teachers of the department have developed multimedia lectures on all sections of training. Visual training materials in the form of samples of medicinal plant raw materials, medicinal preparations, reagents and standard samples are widely used. The educational process is provided with the necessary equipment, and technical training tools, including computers, laptops, and multimedia projectors, are actively used. The department has a computer class. All employees of the department have completed advanced training in the specialty and the basics of pedagogy and psychology within the established time frame, and have specialist certificates. Every year, the department trains about 700 advanced training specialists, 295 of them on a budget basis, including those from various regions of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation. Since 2020, in the context of the spread of the new coronavirus infection COVID-19, the teaching staff of the department has mastered distance learning technologies using the ZOOM platform, Microsoft Teams, Vebinar, etc., which allowed maintaining the quality of education of students in traditional cycles of advanced training and professional retraining, as well as in the DPP of continuing education.
