BSMU international students took part in the International Festival of Languages in Bashkortostan

Avicenna wrote that the disease is treated first by WORD, then by grass, and if neither that, nor another helps, one can be treated by knife. Therefore, in the medical universities the students learn to skillfully wield all the necessary for a doctor means and tools, and Word is not an exception.

BSMU international students also learn different languages. They took an active part in the VI International Festival of Languages in Bashkortostan, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of cooperation between the Republic of Bashkortostan and UNESCO and the 70th anniversary of Ufa State Petroleum Technical University.

Chinese, Persian, Turkish, Arabic, German, English, Welsh, French, Latin, Japanese, African and Indian languages - the kaleidoscope of languages was presented in the research works of students from all the universities in Ufa. And our international students conducted research work not only of their native (Hindi, Sanskrit, Punjabi, Marathi), English and, of course, Russian languages, but also studied the relationship of medical and linguistic aspects of human activity (the influence of bilingualism on brain activity, language learning as prevention of Alzheimer's disease, the origin and development of medical terminology, etc.).

Students adequately presented our University, covering all the diversity of approaches to language learning. Mansi Sharma, Sneha Nair, Bhavna Sharma, Rahul, Jaiswal Sumer, Piush Sharma, Deepak Mohanty, Khan Mohammad Anas represented their research work at the Festival, and Rajesh Kumar, Farooq Khan, Nitesh Kumar, Sandeep Singh and many other guys showed creative representation of the Russian language.

"And yet, - as one of the participants of the Festival of UNESCO Languages said - we saw that, despite the fact that we are the only students at the Festival who are taught in English, our knowledge of the Russian language is one of the best. For this I want to say many thanks to our teachers and the leadership of the University, thanks to which the Russian language becomes for us not a foreign one, but the second native language, and Russia and BSMU are the second home."
