III Medical forum - exhibition "Healthcare Week in the Republic of Bashkortostan" was held in Ufa

From 3 till 6 April VDNH - Expo hosted III Medical forum-exhibition "Healthcare Week in the Republic of Bashkortostan" in Ufa.

The unique and the only project of such a format and scale in the region gathered at one site the most competent speakers – health experts, practitioners, all interested in the development of the health system. The forum consisted of four busy and productive days, of more than 30 scientific and practical conferences, round tables and seminars. The most urgent tasks facing the professional community were discussed during the key event of the forum at the plenary session "Healthy generation is healthy region".

The head of Bashkortostan, Rustem Khamitov, Chairman of the Board of the Russian Respiratory Society, Alexander Chuchalin, rector of BSMU, Valentin Pavlov, head of the Oncology and Hematology Department of Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University), Mikhail Ter-Ovanesov, chief pediatric pulmonologist of the Ministry of Healthcare of Russia, Yuriy Mizernitsky, curator of lean manufacturing projects of the state corporation Rosatom, Nadezhda Davydova, and other leading scientists and health professionals attended the official opening ceremony of the Medical forum.

- They have become usual previously inaccessible microsurgical operations requiring great precision. The most modern samples of medical equipment are used. For example, thanks to Bashkir State Medical University, we opened the Robotic Surgery Center in Ufa. This is the first center of such a kind in the Volga Federal district, -Rustem Khamitov pointed out in his speech.

The exposition of the forum-exhibition was focused on the heads of medical and pharmaceutical companies, chief physicians, marketing and sales specialists, presented specialized products for medical institutions and medical workers: medical, laboratory, diagnostic equipment, products for medical practice. The novelty of the exhibition was the section: "Accessible environment", where the technical means of rehabilitation, the latest innovative developments and prosthetic and orthopedic products were presented.

As part of the forum, the photo project "100 women of the Republic: strength and tenderness" was presented. The third Chapter of the photo project was devoted to representatives of medicine. The staff of Bashkir State Medical University, Larisa Gerasimov, head of the Therapeutic Stomatology department with the Course of APEI, MD, Professor, and Milyausha Fatykhova, head of the Neurological department of Clinic BSMU were included in the photo project.

BSMU presented three areas: Volunteer centre, Youth scientific society and BSMU sanatorium. Visitors of the exhibition were informed about the work of volunteers, their social and medical projects; they were able to test the inventions of young scientists of BSMU, as well as to receive advice from specialists of the sanatorium.
