Republican Scientific and Practical Ponference “Practical Aspects of Therapy and Rehabilitation of Neurological Patients”

On April 19, 2018 BSMU building №10 hosted the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference "Practical Aspects of Therapy and Rehabilitation of Neurological Patients." The chief freelance neurologist of the Ministry of Healthcare in RB, head of the Neurology and Neurosurgery department of APEI at BSMU, Professor L. B. Novikova, organized the conference. Such leading neurologists of the Russian Federation attended the conference: E. Bogdanov - the chief neurologist of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation in Privolzhsky Federal district, Professor, head of the Neurology and Rehabilitation department at KSMU (Kazan, Russia), A. N. Komarov - head of the Neurorehabilitation Department of FSBI "Clinical hospital" at the department of presidential affairs, head of the Technology Development of Social Support and Rehabilitation Center "Trust" (Moscow), A. P. Rachyn - Professor, head of the Neurology department and the department of medical rehabilitation of patients with functional disorder of the nervous system of the Russian scientific center of medical rehabilitation and balneology at the Ministry of Healthcare of Russia (Moscow), A. N. Bogolepova - Professor at the neurology, neurosurgery, medical genetics department of the faculty of General Medicine at Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University (Moscow), S. A. Zhivolupov - Professor of the Nervous Diseases department of S. M. Kirov Military Medical Academy (Saint-Petersburg), D.A. Iskra - Professor of the Nervous Diseases department of S. M. Kirov Military Medical Academy (Saint-Petersburg), etc.

The program of the event is made concerning the relevance of the problem on neurological diseases in the Republic of Bashkortostan – the considerable percentage of reports was devoted to the problem of cerebrovascular pathology, cerebral stroke, spinal injuries, pain syndromes, and patients’ rehabilitation.

Welcoming speech was said by the assistant to the Vice-rector for Medical Work at BSMU, Z.Ya. Murtazin, and head of the Neurology and Neurosurgery department of BSMU, Professor, chief freelance neurologist of the Ministry of Healthcare of RB, L.B. Novikova. More than 170 doctors from different Bashkir towns and regions attended the conference.

The conference ended with an active discussion and detailed answers to the questions of the conference participants. The knowledge gained by students will be useful in everyday work in practical healthcare, which will increase the effectiveness of therapeutic and rehabilitation measures in the treatment of neurological diseases and reduce disability and mortality rates.
