The first regional forum of volunteers of the Volga and southern Federal districts has started in Saratov.
More than 300 volunteers from 22 regions of the country gathered at the forum to learn about the latest legislation changes in terms of support and development of volunteerism, to exchange interesting volunteer initiatives and projects, to ask questions to representatives of public authorities and leading experts.
Leaders of volunteer organizations, volunteer projects and other non-profit organizations take part in the forum. The students of Bashkir State Medical University, Feoktistova Elizaveta and Shingareeva Firuza, represent BSMU Volunteer center.
Feoktistova Elizaveta, the event manager, talked about the current areas of BSMU Volunteer center, ongoing projects, about the changes that had occurred in the center since its opening, and noted that BSMU Volunteer center is 7 years already. The participants of the forum noted that a large number of interesting directions and participation in various socially significant events distinguishes our Volunteer center.
Saratov State Law Academy hosted a round table of the Federal center of support of volunteering in the healthcare sector at the Regional forum of volunteers of the Volga Federal district and Southern Federal district. Shingareeva Firuza, regional coordinator of the all-Russian social movement of volunteers in the healthcare sector "Volunteer doctors" in the Republic of Bashkortostan, took part in this meeting.
"We are pleased to share our experience and practice in the field of volunteering with other volunteer organizations, to learn from the experience of volunteers from other regions and to hear the opinions of experts, to implement our plans and objectives in volunteering" - says Firuza.
