The delegation from China visited the Otorhinolaryngology department of the Bashkir State Medical University

On 15-17 May the delegation from Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine visited the Bashkir State Medical University. The aim of the meeting is to expand international relationship and interuniversity cooperation in the field of science, education and implementation of educational standards, to introduce innovative approaches to education and research activities, to improve the level of specialists’ training for scientific and pedagogical work and practical healthcare, and to exchange the experience between both Universities’ Clinics. The delegation from Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was represented by the Vice-rector of the University, Jianjiang Du, dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Guichung Shi, deputy head of the Faculty of Computer Science, Qing Ye, deputy chief physician of the Hospital of Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Bo Tao, and interpreter Yuanyuan Zhang.
The head of the Otorhinolaryngology department with the Course of APEI, Elena Savelyeva, was the head of the meeting delegation.
On 16 May professors from China got acquainted with the work of the Otolaryngology department with the Course of APEI at the ENT-Clinic of G. G. Kuvatov Republican Clinical Hospital in the framework of interuniversity cooperation, and attended the master class on diagnosis, surgical treatment and rehabilitation of patients with hearing loss. The indicative reconstructive surgery on the ear with the use of middle ear prostheses, analysis of clinical cases, the lecture on hearing-improving operations, reports on BSMU and activities of ENT Department were held for the Chinese doctors. In turn, the staff of the Otolaryngology department and doctors from G. G. Kuvatov Republican Clinical Hospital gained interesting knowledge in the field of traditional Chinese medicine. All the staff and residents of the department took the active part in the preparation of the master class and receiving guests from China.
In accordance with the declared program, Vice-Rector of Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Jianjiang Du, gave the lecture for the third-year students of the Faculty of Pharmacy. The delegation from China got acquainted with the work of BSMU Clinic and BSMU Simulation Center. At the end of the visit Bashkir State Medical University and Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine signed the program for semester exchanges on pharmacology.
