In honor of the World Children's Day, BSMU organized a number of events.
On 31 May, students of the Faculty of Pediatrics of BSMU organized at the Republican children's clinical hospital the festive show for children in treatment. Fairy-tale characters, dances, songs, games, and gifts impressed young spectators. For older viewers, our students demonstrated medical master classes: showed how to measure pressure, apply a tourniquet and the basics of cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
On 1 June, the National perinatal center organized the holiday for seriously ill children, which was attended by BSMU volunteers and creative teams. Master classes, platforms with animators, games and the festive concert were organized for children. BSMU students and the first medical TV "MedLive" took part in the organization of this event, creative design, held games and concert program with children.
On the Square named after Salavat Yulaev the citywide celebration "Ufa is the territory of childhood" was held during the whole day. BSMU simulation center has prepared an interactive platform for guests with a demonstration of skills on mannequins for emergency medical care. Children with interest made the first steps in the role of a doctor, the most daring were awarded with notebooks with the symbols of our University. The children were able to take part in an exciting quest game and master classes "Collect your health yourself". They learned about the rules of safety at home, outside, and in the countryside. BSMU creative teams congratulated all children and their parents with bright performances at the World Children's Day.
At the end of the day Valentin N. Pavlov, the rector of the Bashkir State Medical University, corresponding member of RAS, and Rustem Z. Akhmetshin, head of the Pediatrics Department of APEI, participated in the live broadcast of the BST TV channel. Valentin N. Pavlov and Rustem Z. Akhmetshin told about the health of children in our country, projects that are conducted in this direction, the prevention of children's infections, injuries and answered viewers’ questions.
