During the First Russian-Chinese Congress on Treatment of Cardiovascular Diseases the competition of young scientists was held

On 15 June, the competition of young scientists at the First Russian-Chinese Congress on Treatment of Cardiovascular Diseases was held.

In total, nine young scientists from China, Austria, Ufa, Kemerovo, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, and Perm attended the competition.

Peter Jirak, a young scientist from Salzburg (Austria), assistant of the Internal Diseases department of Paracelsus Medical University Clinic, took the 3^rd place. His report was devoted to the problem of finding new biomarkers of heart failure.

The second place was awarded to Liu Ning, the guest from China, assistant of the Cardiology department at the Second Hospital of Jilin University. The report was on the issue of the regulation of apoptosis.

The first place the jury awarded to Diana Gareeva, the young scientist from the Bashkir State Medical University. Her work is devoted to the prognostic significance of heart rate turbulence among patients with coronary artery disease.
