BSMU Clinic held the 100-th robotic surgery

In July 2018, the first robotic center of the Volga Federal district, based at BSMU Clinic, celebrated its first anniversary – a hundredth robotic operation.

- We have conducted one hundred operations during 5 months, and this is an excellent indicator of the effective use of the device, - said the head of the Robotic Surgery Center of BSMU Clinic, Ruslan Safiullin.

The center was opened on 23 February 2018. In addition to current operations during this period, the leading specialists have conducted Da vinci robot master-classes : Jens-Uwe Stolzenburg, head of the International Training Centre of Laparoscopy and Robot-assisted Surgery at Leipzig University, Professor Hu Jiankun, Deputy Director of the Gastrointestinal Surgery division, Director of the Institute of Stomach Cancer in West China hospital of Sichuan University, Dmitry Pushkar, chief urologist in the Ministry of Healthcare of Russia, Mikhail Mosoyan, head of the Robotic Surgery Center at V. A. Almazov National Medical Research Center (St. Petersburg), Eduard Gallyamov, head of the General Surgery department of Sechenov University, Evgeny Bezrukov, head of the department at R. M. Fronstein Urology Clinic at Sechenov University and others.
