The Knowledge Day in BSMU

The traditional event, marking the beginning of the academic year – the Knowledge Day, was held in BSMU on September 1. Students, teachers and the main participants of the festival, first – year students, gathered in front of the main building of the University - they were waiting for their first day as students of the Bashkir State Medical University with special feelings.

The solemn meeting began with a parade of freshmen – representatives of each faculty proudly carried their flag and banner. The Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Bashkortostan, MD, Professor Anvar A. Bakirov made the welcoming speech:

- Today, the need for medical personnel in our country is quite high. We are waiting for you - a new generation of doctors, with new views and skills to us – in the public health system, - said in his speech Anvar Akramovich Bakirov.

Valentin N. Pavlov, the rector of the Bashkir State Medical University, corresponding member of RAS, congratulated the freshmen, students of middle and senior level, residents and faculty:

- We are welcome the best graduates of schools not only in our country but also in other cities of the country and abroad in our University. Our University has all the necessary tools for the implementation of educational, scientific and medical activities, so that our students are an important part of the medical community of the Russian and world scale, - said Valentin Nikolaevich Pavlov.

The artistic teams of the University congratulated participants of the festival: singers of the ensemble "Salam", "Turkish Coffee", Samuel Desmond, team "Cheerleading". The first-year students prepared an incendiary flashmob under the guidance of the 5th year student of the faculty of Pediatrics, Yulia Khanova.

On behalf of the graduates, the 6th year student of the faculty of General Medicine, an activist of the cultural and social life of the University, Tavabilov Rustam, spoke to the freshmen with parting words and gave a white coat - a symbol of Medicine to the freshmen. In turn, the first-year students made a promise with honor to bear the high title of students of the Bashkir State Medical University.
