BSMU delegation headed the section of Bladder Cancer Treatment at the International Conference on Urology in the United Arab Emirates

From October 31 till November 3 2018 in Dubai, the 7th International Conference on Urology in the United Arab Emirates and the 15th annual Conference of the Arab Association of Urologists are passing.

The delegation of the Bashkir State Medical University is represented by Valentin Pavlov, rector of BSMU, corresponding member of RAS, Marat Urmantsev, Associate Professor at the Urology department with the Course of IAPE, Ruslan Ishemgulov, Associate Professor at the urology department with the Course of IAPE, the Radiology and Radiotherapy, Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy department with the Course of IAPE, Ildar Kurbangulov, Associate Professor at the Surgical Ddiseases and New Technologies department, Seraphima Maximova, assistant of the Urology department with the Course of IAPE. BSMU delegation headed the section for the Bladder Cancer Treatment.

On 31 October Valentin Pavlov, rector of the Bashkir State Medical University, corresponding member of RAS, became a member of the Presidium of the Conference and together with outstanding experts of the world in the field of urology held a master class on bladder cancer.

- Today BSMU is the only University in Russia represented at this conference. And we, along with leading experts of the world level, share the experience of operations and scientific aspects of the urological service of our Republic with the audience of the conference, the geography of which is represented by participants from all over the world, - commented Valentin Pavlov.

On 1 November Professor Valentin Pavlov made the presentation and took part in the debate on "Radical cystectomy". Valentin Pavlov shared his unique experience of performing open, laparoscopic, robot-assisted radical cystectomies which are performed in the first Robotic Surgery Center of the PFD at the University Clinic and demonstrated the advantages of robot-assisted surgery.
