The International club "Between the Cultures" and the Russian Language Course of BSMU held the meeting dedicated to the famous Russian poet - S. A. Yesenin

Poetry nights continue to cheer us up in this cold and dank autumn. On 13 and 15 October, BSMU Library hosted the event “Russia of mine, a quiet homeland” dedicated to the work of the famous Russian poet - S. A. Yesenin. The participants were both the Russian and international students, who allowed to look at the work of Yesenin from a new angle and try to see his emotions, his life through the prism of different cultures. Reading poems is not easy as it might seem at first glance, but the students tried to put their heart into their performances, so the audience listened and watched with bated breath. There were also presentations covering the life and work of Yesenin from different sides. In addition, at the meeting the participants performed the songs on the poet's poems – everyone could sing along. In general, the evening was held in a friendly, warm and pleasant atmosphere. We express our gratitude to our brave students who took an active part, teachers of the Russian language, who helped to the students to prepare for the meeting, library staff, and all the spectators! Perhaps it was not as smooth as we wanted, but, as you know, there is always something to strive for and become better! See you in the Literary Lounge soon!
