BSMU students became the winners at the International Youth Scientific Conference “Fundamental Research as the Start to the Medical Sciences”, dedicated to the 260th anniversary of Sechenov University

On 21-22 November Moscow hosted the International Youth Scientific Conference “Fundamental Research as the Start to the Medical Sciences” devoted to the 260^th anniversary of Sechenov University. The Conference took place at the Human Anatomy department of I. M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University of the Ministry of Healthcare of Russia.

BSMU students took part in the competition of anatomical drawing and scientific conference.

To participate in the competition of anatomical drawing VESALIUS-2018 the participants had to send their works in electronic format beforehand, and after that, the jury selected the best ones. The authors of the winning works were invited to the solemn ceremony, which took place on 21 November at Sechenov University. Anastasia Babushkina, a 2^ndyear student of the faculty of Pediatrics, and Diana Mukhametova, a 5^th year student of the faculty of Pediatrics, became laureates of the first degree. Anastasia presented her work entitled "Debes, ergo potes", which in Latin means "you have to, so you can", Diana presented the portrait of Sergey Botkin. Works of BSMU students are on display in the lobby of the building on Human Anatomy in Sechenov University.

On 22 November, presentations of scientific works were held. Adelia Gareeva and Victoria Muslimova, 4^th year students of the faculty of General Medicine, and Aygul Amirova and Nikita Ishmuratov, 4^th year students of the faculty of Pediatrics, received diplomas of the winners at the section "Integrative anthropology as the basis of personalized medicine. Ethno-territorial features of physical development at the stages of ontogenesis". In the section "Morphology and physiology of humans and animals in norm and experiment" diplomas of the winners were awarded to Diana Rakhmatullina and Vadim Lashkarev, 4^th year students of the faculty of General Medicine.

The organizers of the Conference were Sechenov University, M. V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University), N. Uh. Bauman Moscow State Technical University (National Research University), International Association of Morphologists, Moscow branch of the Scientific Medical Society of Anatomists, Histologists and Embryologists.
