BSMU delegation visited Paracelsus Private Medical University, Salzburg, in the framework of visits to Austrian universities and clinics

On 28 November 2018, the delegation of the Bashkir State Medical University visited Paracelsus Private Medical University, which is located in Salzburg. The delegation consisted of Valentin Pavlov, rector of BSMU, corresponding member of RAS, Professor Shamil Safin, head of the Medical Rehabilitation department with the Courses of Neurosurgery and Acupuncture IAPE, Professor Naufal Zagidullin, head of the International Relations department, Professor Adel Izmailova, associate Professor Azat Bilyalova, head of the Information Technologies department. The visit is held in the framework of the visits to the universities and clinics of Austria.

Paracelsus Private Medical University in Salzburg is a private higher education institution in Austria, which was founded in 2003. Private funds finance the activities of the University. Constructive partnerships in medical and scientific fields were established with medical universities of the United States, Prague, Italy, Great Britain and China. For many years, the institution cooperates with Doppler Christian Clinic.

There was a tour of the clinic and inspection of departments. The delegation visited the Urology department together with its director, Professor Lucas Lucuardi, the Internal Diseases (Cardiology) with its director, Professor Uta Hopper, the Simulation Center, The Anatomy Institute of the University with Professor Falk Schrödl. At the end of the visit, there was a meeting with the rector of the University, Professor Herbert Resch. The participants of the meeting discussed the issue on cooperation in the future on scientific, medical work and academic mobility.
