BSMU delegation visited Montanuniversität Leoben within the framework of visits to the Austrian universities and clinics

On 30 November 2018, the delegation of the Bashkir State Medical University visitedMontanuniversität Leoben (Leoben Mining University) in the framework of the visits to the Austrian universities and clinics.The delegation consisted of Valentin Pavlov, rector of BSMU, corresponding member of RAS, Professor Shamil Safin, head of the Medical Rehabilitation department with the Courses of Neurosurgery and Acupuncture IAPE, Professor Naufal Zagidullin, head of the International Relations department, Professor Adel Izmailova, associate Professor Azat Bilyalova, head of the Information Technologies department.

Montanuniversität Leoben (Montanuniversität Leoben) is the only University in Austria that trains specialists in the field of mining and metallurgical industry. Nowadays Leoben Mining University is a major educational and research center. Education at the University is conducted on bachelor and master programs. The University has 16 faculties, 11 bachelor programs, 10 master programs.

The delegates of the University met with the rector of Leoben Mining University, Professor Wilfried Eichlseder. The visit included the tour of the Institute of Polymer Materials at the University. The delegation discussed with Prof. Clemens Holzer, Director of the Institute, issues on cooperation in the field of creation and use of new polymer and composite materials in Medicine. Professor Peter Uggowitzer and BSMU representors discussed the issues on creating new metal alloys for use in implantology.
